Within the scope of the Community Service Practices course taken by the 4th year students of the Department of English Language Teaching in the autumn term, the faculty members and 4th year students of our department paid a visit to the Balpeteği Kindergarten in Muş Centre. In line with the protocol between the Faculty of Education of our university and the Ministry of National Education, the students of our department will teach English to the students studying in the related kindergarten for 8 weeks in groups.
This project aims to improve the English skills of kindergarten students. The 4th grade students of our department also have the opportunity to put into practice the theoretical and practical knowledge they have learnt in the Teaching Foreign Languages to Children course they have taken in previous years in a real kindergarten environment.
Within the scope of the visit, the students of our department met the kindergarten teachers with whom they will work throughout the project. After our faculty members thanked the kindergarten administration and teachers for their cooperation and understanding, the visit ended with a collective photo shoot.
